For now we list the questions and provide responses to the first few questions. Time permitting, our intention is to provide responses to all of the questions.

Section 1. Evil and Suffering

(1.1) Why doesn’t God use his own power to cure evil and suffering (hunger, poverty, etc)?

(1.2) Why did God make us inferior to Himself and then blame us for being inferior?

Section 2. Miracles

(2.1) There are problems with definition of miracle. (i) When something cannot be explained by natural means? Propose “God of the gaps” theory ?

(2.2) There are problems with definition of miracle. (ii) When there is a religio-historical context? This is circular reasoning: If miracle happened, then there must have been a religio-historical context, but you know religio-historical context because a miracle happened.

(2.3) Evidence for Jesus’ resurrection because of Bible, but Bible is only source of data on resurrection. Bible cannot be used to verify accounts which it alone speaks about.

Section 3: Evolution

(3.1) Old Earth Creationism (OEC) vs Young Earth Creationism (YEC) vs Evolution. Of the three, evolution has least of problems.

(3.2) OEC problems includes the existence of dinosaurs, death before Adam, and general inconsistencies with Bible.

(3.3) YEC has problems including being consistent with Bible but not with nature.

(3.4) Unfairness of bringing up abiogenesis vs evolution because one can believe in God creating life, and biological evolution taking over (watch maker model).

Section 4: Does God kill innocent people

(4.1) Faulty reasoning for justifying God allowing Israelites to kill Caananites.

Section 5: Is Jesus the only way to God

(5.1) “The fact that not even Christians can seem to figure out how salvation works is very damaging to the Christian case.”

Section 6: Would a loving God would ever torture people in Hell

(6.1) How can hell be the “worst possible situation” while at the same time be a “merciful” act of God?

(6.2) If people who are in hell are people who would rather be in hell than in heaven with God, then what is the point of evangelism?

Section 7: Isn't Church history littered with oppression and violence.

(7.1) Do not to blame Christianity for evils done by misguided Christians, but want to give Christianity full cblackit for any good done by Christians.

(7.3) How can this be true, with current “bad stuff” being done by Christians including condemning homosexuality?
