Before I trusted Christ
I was a very unhappy person. I complained about everything. I made fun of everyone. I talked about others behind their backs. I could be mean and cruel. I was extremely selfish and not very giving of myself.
How I trusted Christ
It was thanksgiving weekend of 2003. I was in a single cell by myself, in prison. I had previously tried to commit suicide several times. I no longer had a will to live. I started reading the Bible. I asked God to help my family, and I asked him into my heart. I was on my knees crying for help and salvation. It happened at a point, when I was completely broken. I promsed to be a faithful servant of God.
Since I've trusted Christ
God has not only given me a will to move forward, but he has restored my relationship with my family. I am able to see my children on a regular basis. Even though I'm in prison, God has given me peace and happiness. He has and is helping me overcome my personal prolems. He has strengthened me in every possible way allowing me to serve and glorify him. He is leading me to reach out and help others in need. I am currently helping my sister with improving her credit report and doing a resume, so she can find a better job.
